TN BJP Winners List: Bharatiya Janata Party winners in Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026

The high-stakes battle for Fort St. George is nearing its conclusion as counting of votes for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections continues across the state. The election witnessed a three-cornered contest between DMK, AIADMK, and the debutant Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam led by actor Vijay.

As per the final results, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has emerged as the largest party by winning 107 seats. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has secured 60 seats, while the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has won 41 seats.

BJP sees limited success in alliance battle

The Bharatiya Janata Party, which contested 27 seats as part of the AIADMK-led NDA, has managed to win only one seat so far. The party’s performance falls short of expectations despite its focus on key constituencies and alliance strategy.

Key BJP candidates under focus

Several prominent BJP leaders were in the fray, with their performance closely watched as a measure of the party’s growth in Tamil Nadu. State chief Nainar Nagenthran contested from Sattur, while former Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan sought support in Mylapore. Union Minister Dr L Murugan was fielded from Avanashi, and Vanathi Srinivasan contested from Coimbatore North.

These constituencies have seen close contests as counting continues, though the broader trend has been dominated by TVK’s strong showing across the state.
