Tiger Shroff firing case update: Shooters allegedly received Rs 2 lakh, used 2 factory-made guns; 3 accused remanded till October 31

The three men allegedly involved in the firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff were brought back to Mumbai from Kota on Wednesday morning and remanded to police custody until October 31. Preliminary ballistic reports have indicated that the shooters used two factory-made firearms during the attack. However, the weapons are yet to be recovered.

The three accused, identified as Phool Singh (18), Rehan Ansari (18) and Rithik Kumar alias Roshan (22), were arrested in Kota and produced before the 37th Metropolitan Magistrate Court, which remanded them to police custody.

Police Probe Digital Communications and Alleged Handlers

While seeking custody of the accused, police told the court that the men had destroyed the mobile phones allegedly used in connection with the crime. Investigators are now attempting to reconstruct their communications through social media applications and other digital evidence.

The police are also questioning the accused to establish links between the alleged shooters and their suspected handlers, including Shubham Lonkar. Investigators are examining whether the accused coordinated with other individuals involved in planning and executing the attack.

According to police, the shooters arrived in Mumbai on September 20.

Rs 2 Lakh Allegedly Received for the Operation

Investigators are tracing the money allegedly received by the shooters and those who provided logistical support. Preliminary findings suggest that the individuals involved received around Rs 2 lakh, which was reportedly used for various expenses, including purchasing a second-hand motorcycle.

"So far, investigation suggests the shooters and those who provided logistic support received around Rs 2 lakh, with which they bought a second-hand bike for Rs 25,000. Another Rs 37,000 was transferred in the account of Rehan Ansari. There were some more cash payments which are being ascertained," said Raj Tilak Roshan, deputy commissioner of police.

The investigation is also examining transactions made through UPI applications, along with cash payments, to establish the flow of funds and identify others who may have supported the operation.

Shooters Allegedly Monitored Tiger Shroff's Movements

Sources associated with the investigation said the accused allegedly tracked Shroff's movements through social media posts, videos and reels shared by the actor and his fans.

The accused reportedly surveyed a playground in Juhu for 10 days before the incident. Investigators believe they had also planned to carry out the attack on October 11, but Shroff did not arrive at the location that day.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Allegedly Claimed Responsibility

Minutes after the firing, a social media post allegedly attributed to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the attack. A man identifying himself as Anil Pandit purportedly spoke on behalf of the gang and appeared to take responsibility for the incident.

Police suspect that Pandit had been coordinating with a person named Sameer through messaging applications.

According to investigators, Sameer allegedly acted as an intermediary between Pandit and shooter Rehan Ansari. He was reportedly in online contact with Pandit and allegedly passed his instructions directly to Rehan.

Investigators further suspect that Sameer arranged funds for the shooters and coordinated logistical requirements, including the alleged supply of weapons.

How the Firing Incident Unfolded

The firing allegedly took place as Shroff was leaving a playground in Juhu after football practice. The three accused, Phool Singh, Rithik Kumar alias Roshan and Rehan Ansari were reportedly waiting outside the premises.

According to the investigation, Singh and Ansari allegedly opened fire, discharging five rounds. One of the pistols reportedly jammed during the incident, preventing the shooters from firing additional rounds.

Kumar, who was allegedly waiting nearby on a motorcycle, started the vehicle after the firing. He then fled with the other two accused.
