A purported audio threatens Salman Khan after firing at Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai. Police are investigating the attack and claims by Anil Pandit.

A purported audio clip threatening Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his family has gone viral on social media following the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai. The speaker, identified as Anil Pandit, allegedly demanded that Salman khan to apologise jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and the Bishnoi community. As per TOI report, the audio, shared by the Mumbai Crime Branch, contains a threat against Salman’s family if he fails to comply. The speaker also warned the actor against assuming that his security arrangements would protect him.

“Listen to me carefully, Salman Khan. If you don't apologise to my elder brother, Lawrence Bishnoi, or to the Bishnoi community, then we won't even leave a dog in your house. We will destroy your entire family. Keep this in mind. Don't think that you are in security and nothing will happen to you,” the speaker says in the purported recording. The authenticity of the audio and the claims made by those taking responsibility for the shooting are being verified by the police.

Tiger Shroff firing

The audio surfaced after three motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly opened fire at a BMW carrying Tiger Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu area around 7 pm on Sunday. Shroff was leaving Pushpa Narsee Park, also known as Jamnabai Nursery, after attending a birthday gathering when the attackers fired multiple rounds at the vehicle.

Two men allegedly fired at the car while a third person waited on a motorcycle to help them escape. Seven rounds were reportedly fired during the incident. The actor escaped without any gunshot injuries but sustained minor abrasions from shattered glass. His driver, Firdaus, suffered a bullet injury to his left hand. A passerby was also injured.

Why was Tiger Shroff allegedly targeted?

Anil Pandit and another individual, Harman Sandhu, reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post. The post alleged that Shroff had been warned against working with Salman Khan but had ignored the warning. It also threatened other members of the Mumbai film industry who continued to work with the superstar.

“Anyone in the Mumbai film industry who does not listen to us or works with Salman Khan will be next. Wait and watch,” the message read.

The police are examining the post to establish whether the people named in it were involved in the shooting. The claims made online have not been independently established. The message also contained a warning to rival groups allegedly using the names of those behind the threat to gain notoriety.

Mumbai Police form 15 teams to investigate shooting

Mumbai Police have formed 15 teams, including Crime Branch personnel, to track down the suspected attackers and establish the circumstances surrounding the firing. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the area and analysing forensic evidence to reconstruct the sequence of events. They are also working to identify the people involved and verify the social media claims and the purported audio recording.
