'Thunivu'Box office Collection Day 8: Ajith Kumar’s film rules again

Ajith Kumar’s 'Thunivu' saw a bumper opening in the first week. 'Thunivu' surpassed the expectations of fans and is now doing bonkers at Box office. The movie was released ahead of Pongal as a gift to fans.

'Thunivu' had a 6-day weekend opening, including 4 days of Pongal. Wednesday was the first weekday opening of the movie. Although there was a slight dip in the collection graph on Wednesday, it is safe to say that the movie breezed through with good numbers. According to the report, the movie grabbed Rs. 4 crore in India on the first weekday.

'Thunivu' opened with huge numbers in Tamil Nadu and in the international market. It earned Rs.23 crore on the first day in Tamil Nadu. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to twitter and wrote that Taunivu crossed $300k in the UK. It is the first movie of Ajith to reach this huge mark. The movie also created a buzz in France, New Zealand, Australia and Papua New Guinea. According to the reports, 'Thunivu' collected around Rs 150 crore in total so far.
