This meme on Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad is a social media hot favourite now

After Nitish Kumar upset the NDA applecart and walked across to team up with old rival Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD to form a new government in Bihar, an old meme featuring the two have started furiously doing the rounds on social media.

The animated video has the two titans of Bihar politics lip-syncing to the popular song 'Kismat ki hawa kabhi' composed and sung by C Ramchandra for the 1951 film Albela.

The song goes on to say that the wind of destiny blows gentle at times and harsh at other times. Though it could be argued in this case that it was Kumar's political shrewdness and not just kismat which brought the two together on the same side again.

Others pointed that when it comes to Kumar, who was sworn in as CM on Wednesday for the 8th time, the wind blows only one way.

Nitish Kumar took oath as the chief minister of Bihar in March 2000, November 2005, November 2010, February 2015, November 2015, July 2017, November 2020 and August 2022 - with help from friends in one side of the political divide or the other. Lalu Prasad's son Tejashwi Yadav was sworn in as deputy CM.
