This Gurgaon couple bought a car for family road trips with their parrot

A couple in Gurugram bought a pre-owned Toyota Urban Cruiser to explore new destinations with their family, including their pet parrot, Jelly. Asanka and Monisha, who moved from Kolkata to Gurugram, purchased the car through Spinny after looking for a vehicle that met their travel requirements. For the couple, buying a car was not just about daily commuting. They wanted a vehicle that would make long road trips comfortable and allow their pet bird to accompany them.

As per Spinny, after moving from Kolkata to Gurugram, the couple wanted to explore their new surroundings through road trips. They needed a car that could accommodate both their requirements and their pet parrot, Jelly. However, the couple had different preferences while selecting a vehicle. Asanka wanted climate control and cruise control for comfortable long-distance drives. Monisha, meanwhile, wanted a sunroof. They eventually found a pre-owned Toyota Urban Cruiser through Spinny that offered the features they were looking for.

How much did the couple save by buying a pre-owned car?


The Toyota Urban Cruiser had covered approximately 4,000 km when the couple purchased it. Asanka estimates that buying the pre-owned vehicle helped them save around ₹7-8 lakh compared with purchasing the same model new. Before finalising the purchase, he also got the car inspected and serviced at a Toyota service centre. This gave him additional confidence in the vehicle's condition. According to Asanka, choosing a pre-owned car allowed the couple to get the vehicle they wanted without exceeding their planned budget. Their pet bird, Jelly, also accompanies them on these journeys, travelling safely in her carrier.

“For us, a road trip is never just about getting somewhere. It’s about enjoying the journey, discovering new places and making sure Jelly gets to come along too,” says Asanka, resident, Gurgaon.
