'The Romantics': Release date to OTT platform, all you need to know about new docu-series

'The Romantics', a tribute to the unmatched legacy of Yash Raj Chopra's cinema, will be exclusively streaming on Netflix this week. It is made in a documentary series format which will laud the overall filmography of Yash Chopra, who was an eminent Bollywood director.

'The Romantics' will feature a list of 35 Bollywood celebrities. Late Rishi Kapoor to Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Juhi Chawla, and Rani Mukerji are part of this docu-series.





Moreover, the series will also document an interview by the current production head of the Yash Raj films' banner, Aditya Chopra. It would make for a pleasant surprise as the actor does not choose to make public appearances in the normal course of business.

The docu-series 'The Romantics' will be available on the platform of Netflix. The series has been launched on Valentine's Day which is on February 14.

Director of 'The Romantics', Smriti Mundhra spoke in various interviews as to how the films by Yash Raj Chopra have had an impeccable impact on her over all these years. She acknowledges the fact that the impact of Yash Raj's cinema on her, during her formative years, was so high that she decided to pay a tribute to the legacy of Yash Chopra and therefore, 'The Romantics' is an attempt for the same.

Smriti Mundhra further added that the series tries to document the entire filmography of Yash Chopra in a span of four hours. She also mentioned that she could have incorporated more if she had more time. She says that she is hopeful that this series will bring the story of Yash Chopra and Yash Raj films into the public eye and bring justice to it.
