The North-east festival is back in the streets of Delhi after 2 years

The biggest festival of New Delhi is all set to mesmerise the audience with the 10th edition of North east festival from December 23 – December 26, 2022 after 2 years of hiatus amid pandemic lockdown.

This festival is held to celebrate the culture and promote the tourism of the North-east. The festival will be conducted at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Narayan Rane will unveil the festival. This year the festival will see N-E music, dance, fashion, drama, art and much more.


The festival will be a complete package of the best of N-E talents. A North East Rock Battle will be held, with top rock bands from throughout India competing for the championship.

The festival will be a paradise for foodies. It will see 50 stalls of different N-E and Delhi cuisine to promote cultural diversity in the country.

There will be a MSME zone, where more than 100 N-E entrepreneurs will showcase their ‘Made in North East’ products which will include handicraft, agri-horti products and many more.

Chief Organiser of the Festival, Shyamkanu Mahanta said that after two years of lockdown, we are elated to be back to our favourite place, Delhi, the city which has always showered love on us profusely.

First seven editions of the North East festival were held at IGNCA, Janpath, New Delhi, from 2013 to 2019. Due to an increase in COVID cases in Delhi, the past two editions were held in Guwahati using a hybrid approach.
