The Kerala Story box office collection prediction: Adah Sharma, Sudipto Sen's film witnesses 5th highest advance bookings of 2023, claim reports

"The Kerala Story" has already made headlines ahead of its theatrical release as the pleas against the movie reached the threshold of Supreme Court and Madras High Court. Now that Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Sudipto Sen's movie is releasing in theatres today, all eyes will be on box office collection of "The Kerala Story". Ahead of its release, "The Kerala Story" witnessed fifth highest advance bookings for any film in 2023. The Kerala Story's pan-India box office collection for the opening day is expected to be over Rs 10 crore, according to reports.

The buzz around the film is more than decent notwithstanding the fact that "The Kerala Story" is facing stiff competition in form of Marvel's Hollywood superhero flick "Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3". Both movies have received decent advance bookings. We will have to wait for final numbers for the day 1 box office collection of "The Kerala Story".

Earlier on Wednesday, the Supreme Court refused to entertain a plea by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind seeking a direction to the Centre and others not to allow the screening or release of the movie entitled 'The Kerala Story' at theatres, OTT platforms and other such avenues, and also that the trailer should be removed from the Internet, as per an IANS report.


On Thursday, the Madras High Court dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking a ban on the controversial multilingual film 'The Kerala Story'. A division bench of the court said the matter had already been handled by the Supreme Court and the Kerala High Court, as per a PTI report.

Earlier this week, the producers of 'The Kerala Story' changed the text of the introduction to the film in its latest teasers on YouTube. Earlier, the text mentioned that around 32,000 women have gone missing from Kerala. Now the changed version says that three women, who after getting brainwashed, converted and were sent on terror missions in India and abroad, according to reports.

The film, featuring Adah Sharma in the lead role, created a major controversy when it claimed that 32,000 women have left the state. The film is directed by Sudipto Sen. The film also stars Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani. It is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.
