The internet is all praise for Joe Root after he fed a kitten ahead of England's Test against Pakistan

The flat ground in Rawalpindi may have made the match between Pakistan and England less entertaining for traditional Test fans. Still, a video of English captain Joe Root has gained much attention online.

The video, which was shared on Twitter by Barmy Army, shows Root feeding milk to a cat in the stadium. England player Root is seen exiting the locker room with a little dish before approaching his colleagues and playing with the kitten. The 31-year-old batter sat in front of the small cat, holding the bowl. The hungry kitten accepted the offer immediately and began sipping milk from the dish. The sight pleased Root and his teammates, as seen by the smiles on their faces.

As of today, the video has received over 500 thousand views. Root's kind gesture moved Internet users. "Well, that's pretty wholesome," a user commented on the video.


Another person said it was adorable. One person pointed out that cats are lactose intolerant and should avoid milk, but I respect his effort. For the first time since 2005, England is travelling to Pakistan for a Test series. The English side set a new record in the first Test of the series, reaching 506 runs after day one.
