‘The Family Man movie' next after Mirzapur success? Manoj Bajpayee’s popular OTT series reportedly heads to theatres

After the success of Mirazpur movie at the box office is another popular series set to hit the theatres? Manoj Bajpayee’s popular series The Family Man could reportedly make its way from streaming to the big screen, provided the plans progress as expected. The possibility of a theatrical adaptation has sparked excitement among fans of the franchise.

According to Hindustan Times, the makers are currently exploring the idea and working on how the story could be developed into a feature film. A source also clarified that the plan is not inspired by Mirzapur, another popular OTT franchise that recently expanded into theatrical territory.

“The plans for The Family Man to be made into a film have been in existence for some time now. There is a thought in place, and the team is actively toying with the concept now.”

Season 4 Remains The Immediate Focus

Before the film plans move forward, the makers are expected to concentrate on the fourth season of The Family Man. Work on the upcoming season has already progressed, with an initial storyline reportedly prepared.

"The basic storyboard has been made for the fourth season. If all goes well, then the shoot will begin in early 2027”, the source said.

Raj Nidimoru, however, has not yet publicly responded to the reports surrounding the show's potential transition to theatres.

Created by Raj & DK, The Family Man follows Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class family man who secretly works for an intelligence agency that handles threats related to national security. He simultaneously manages the challenges of his personal and family life.

Manoj Bajpayee plays Srikant, while Priyamani portrays his wife, Suchi. Sharib Hashmi plays Srikant’s close friend and colleague JK Talpade.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu And Other Key Cast Members

The franchise has featured a strong ensemble cast, including Sharad Kelkar, Neeraj Madhav, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Gul Panag. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has also appeared in a key role in the series.
