Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
The finale centered on the long-awaited showdown between Homelander and Butcher. The Boys infiltrated the White House using secret plans obtained earlier in the series, hoping to stop Homelander once and for all. However, the mission quickly turned deadly as several characters met gruesome ends during the battle.
One of the biggest twists came when Kimiko successfully helped remove Homelander’s powers during the final confrontation. Left powerless and vulnerable, Homelander was ultimately killed by Butcher with a crowbar attack in a shocking moment broadcast live across the country.
The episode also featured the deaths of The Deep and Oh Father. Starlight finally got revenge on The Deep for his assault in Season 1 by luring him into the ocean, where sea creatures attacked and killed him. Meanwhile, Oh Father died after his own reinforced gag weapon caused his head to explode during combat.
Butcher’s ending proved equally tragic. After losing Ryan’s support and discovering his dog Terror had died, Butcher decided to unleash the supe-killing virus on all Supes. Hughie confronted him at Vought Tower, leading to an emotional final fight between the two. Realising Butcher would never stop, Hughie ultimately killed him, bringing his destructive journey to an end.
The title Blood and Bone referenced an earlier promise between Butcher and Homelander that their rivalry would only end in death. Packed with brutal action, emotional moments and major character deaths, the finale delivered a dramatic conclusion to The Boys after seven years on screen.
