The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022: Here’s when and where to watch the live coverage of the ceremony

The Best FIFA Football Awards, which draw footballers from all around the world to compete to win in a number of prestigious categories, are scheduled to take place on February 28.

The award ceremony will be held at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France. This is the seventh iteration of the illustrious awards event since its founding in 2016. Moreover, players and visitors will be able to attend the event in person for the first time since January 2020.

Lionel Messi, the World Cup-winning captain of Argentina, and Kylian Mbappe, the top French striker, will compete for the FIFA Best Men's Player title in 2022. On the other side, three players have been shortlisted for the FIFA Best Women's Player award for 2022 including American Alex Morgan, Spanish striker Alexia Putellas and English striker Beth Mead.


Speaking about the best coaches, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola and Argentina’s World Cup-winning manager Lionel Scaloni are included in the men's shortlist, whereas Sarina Wiegman, England’s European Championship-winning coach, Brazil head coach Pia Sundhage and Lyon’s Sonia Bompastor are on the women’s coach shortlist.

Additionally, Marcin Oleksy, Dimitri Payet and Richarlison are also nominated for the FIFA Puskas award.
