Thangalaan: Chiyaan Vikram suffers injury at rehearsals for director Pa. Ranjith's movie. See what happened

Chiyaan Vikram, who is enjoying the success of his latest movie, Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2, has suffered an injury in the ribs during the rehearsal sessions of director Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan. Due to the injury, the actor will now be taking a break from the shooting of Thangalaan. The injury is sure to come as a setback for the actor, who is basking in the glory of success.

Chiyaan Vikram’s performance as Aditha Karikalan in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 has been liked by one and all. The movie has also achieved great success at the box office.

While thanking the fans for the support and love showered on Chiyaan Vikram, his publicist said that the actor will be taking a break from the shooting of Pa. Ranjith's Thangalaan for sometime as he will take some time to recuperate.




In a statement, Vikram's spokesperson said, "Thank you for all the love and appreciation Aditha Karikalan aka Chiyaan Vikram has received and for the astounding response to PS 2 from all over the world. Chiyaan sustained an injury during rehearsals resulting in a broken rib due to which he will not be able to join his Thangalaan unit for a short while. He thanks everyone for your love and promises to be back on his feet and rocking at the earliest (sic)."

Chiyaan Vikram will be seen next in Thangalaan, which is a period drama. This film is also one of the most anticipated films in Kollywood this year. For the past few months, Vikram has been shooting for it.
