Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu movie: Release date, cast, budget, makers, and more

The forthcoming movie starring megastar Thalapathy Vijay, which was originally going to be named Thalapathy 66 because it's the 66th movie in the actor's career, now has a new name. Through social media, the actor revealed the new title, Varisu.

Vaashi Paidipally, the National Award winner, has directed and written the film 'Varisu'. He is famous for directing big Telugu films such as: Munna, Brindavanam, Yevadu, Oopiri, and Maharshi.

Rashmika Mandanna, best known for her role in Pushpa, plays the film's female protagonist alongside Thalapathy. Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, R. Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Yogi Babu, Srikanth, Shaam, and Shivaji Guruvayoor also feature in the movie in supporting parts, while Mahesh Babu makes a brief cameo.

On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, the filmmakers not only revealed the movie's title but also its first look, giving fans a chance to celebrate the megastar Vijay's birthday early. Vijay was seen in an advertisement sporting a dapper look while dressed in a dark grey suit and black shoes to complete the ensemble. The slogan on the poster is "The Boss Returns."

Varisu release date
The film will have a Pongal release in 2023, according to the makers.

1. Will Varisu be released in other languages?
   It's been reported that the producers intend to release the film in Hindi dubs in addition to Telugu and Tamil.
2. What is new about the film Varisu?
   The film Varishu is the first time that Vijay has worked with Dil Raju and filmmaker Padidipally. The album's tracks will be composed by S. Thaman, who will also be working with Thalapathy for the first time.
