Thalapathy Vijay opens up about Varisu vs. Thunivu box office clash

Tamil Cinema actors Thalapathy Vijay and Thala Ajith are going to compete fiercely against each other at the box office due to the release of their blockbuster movies this Pongal.

While Vijay will be offering Varisu, Ajith will be bringing Thunivu. Their release coincides with Pongal on January 12 of next year, and it appears that Vijay considers this as a reason to celebrate.

The Varisu co-star Shaam described Vijay's response to hearing about the box office competition. According to Shaam, Thalapathy Vijay was pleased that both movies were opening on the same day.


In an interview with India Glitz, he said, "I was recently talking to Vijay sir and I mentioned that they have confirmed the release of Thunivu on the same day as Varisu”. “He said, ‘It’s good, no? He’s also a friend. Let his film also do well and ours too. It’d be such a celebration’".

Because of this, Vijay's supporters commended him for keeping the conflict in a positive light. While many admirers applauded his gesture of hoping for success in another film on Twitter, others said that he is Thalapathy for a reason.
