Tesla has accomplished what Apple has not. Apple revealed AirPower, a wireless charging station capable of charging several devices at once, back in 2017. However, the product was cancelled owing to technical issues.

Tesla has officially introduced the Tesla wireless charging platform, a Qi-based wireless charging solution inspired by its future Cybertruck. It can wirelessly charge up to three devices at the same time, with each item receiving up to 15W of electricity.

The Tesla wireless charging platform appears to have drawn inspiration from AirPower since it has "FreePower" technology, which can charge a phone or accessory wirelessly without requiring the exact alignment of the device to the charging pad.

The wireless charger has a total of 30 coils and a little Tesla logo on the front. Based on the product images, the gadget appears to be designed for Apple consumers, capable of wireless charging iPhones, AirPods, and even the Apple Watch.

Tesla's wireless power source is a well-made accessory with an Alcantara surface that protects the smartphone from scratches. It also has a detachable magnetic stand that allows users to put the phone flat or at an angle. The gadget also includes a 65W adaptor to power the wireless charging pad.

The pad's elegant design allows items such as two cellphones and a charging case for TWS earphones to be put next to each other. According to Tesla, exact alignment of the devices is not required, and they may be positioned wherever on the charging surface.

Pricing and accessibility

The Tesla wireless charging platform is presently available for pre-order on Tesla's web store for $300 (about Rs 25,000), which is an exorbitant price for a wireless charging pad. The device will begin delivering in February 2023, according to the business.
