Telangana Weather: IMD Issues Safety Warning
Along with the rainfall warning, the IMD has advised people to be cautious about thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds across all districts. Strong winds ranging from 30 to 50 kmph could pose risks to weak structures, trees, and power lines. Farmers, commuters, and residents have been asked to stay alert and avoid open areas during lightning. The forecast suggests that Telangana will remain under the influence of an active monsoon pattern for at least a week. With heavy rain expected almost every day, low-lying areas could see waterlogging, and transport may face disruptions. The IMD has urged local authorities to be prepared for possible flooding in vulnerable regions.
For now, residents of Telangana should keep an eye on weather updates and follow safety instructions, especially in districts under heavy rainfall warning.
The rainy spell is set to continue until at least 2 October, bringing relief to farmers but also posing challenges due to the intensity of downpours in certain regions.
