A digital creator has gone viral after explaining his decision to turn down an offer from IIM Bangalore, choosing to continue in his job instead. He said the move was driven by a desire for immediate financial security and to avoid taking on substantial student loan debt.

Promotion coincided with admission offer

In the video, shared by “sorted.hrishi”, the creator says he received a job promotion at the same time he secured admission to the prestigious institute. This presented him with two choices: pursue an MBA by taking a loan or continue with his professional role. He opted to stay in his job, stating that it helped him build a stable foundation.

Focus on long-term family goals

He said remaining in his career allowed him to explore opportunities and provide comforts for his family. He added that the decision enabled him to fulfil a major goal by giving his parents their dream house while they could still enjoy it.
