Design inspired by ICE counterpart
According to the teaser, the Sierra EV retains the upright stance of its ICE version. The electric SUV features a full-width LED DRL on the bonnet, a closed-off grille with the Tata badge, and lower-positioned headlights that enhance its modern appeal. A silver-finished skid plate adds to the rugged look. The side profile highlights the SUV’s boxy silhouette, flush door handles, and redesigned alloy wheels. A glass panel at the rear end evokes the styling of the original discontinued Sierra. The rear design remains under wraps, but it is expected to feature an upright profile and connected tail lamps.

Interior design and features
Tata hasn’t revealed the full interior yet, but according to the company’s promotional video, the near-production version offers a clear idea of what to expect. The key highlight is a triple-screen setup that spans the dashboard — one screen each for the driver, infotainment, and front passenger. The layout appears futuristic yet balanced. The cabin also features a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and body-coloured inserts on the dashboard, adding a distinctive visual appeal.Watch video of Tata Sierra 2025
Expected specifications and launch details
Tata confirmed that the Sierra EV will be launched after the ICE model. While technical details are yet to be announced, reports suggest the electric SUV could use the 55 kWh battery from the Curvv EV and the larger 65 kWh unit from the Harrier EV.
The Sierra ICE model is expected to debut with two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol unit is likely to produce 170 PS and 280 Nm of torque, while the diesel could generate around 118 PS and 260 Nm. Both engines are expected to be available with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic gearboxes.
