Tata Motors will launch the new Tata Altroz CNG tomorrow; check for more details

Tata Motors has announced that is going to launch the Altroz CNG tomorrow, i.e. 19th April. The new model was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 and is the third fitted model from the manufacturer after the Tiago and Tigor.

Tata Altroz CNG: Design


The Tata Altroz CNG's design is unchanged, with the exception of the 'iCNG' badging on the tailgate. The premium hatchback has two cylinders with a boot capacity of 30 litres each. The consumers will have enough storage space thanks to the placement of both cylinders beneath the boot floor. The Tata Altroz CNG will sit on 16-inch alloy wheels.

Tata Altroz CNG: Interior

The Tata Altroz CNG will be available in three trims - XM, XZ and XZ+. Moving on to the inside, the Altroz CNG will be equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a sunroof, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto climate control, rear AC vents, leatherette seats and more. Other key interior features include a front centre armrest, an engine start/stop button and an adjustable driver’s seat.

Tata Altroz CNG: Powertrain

Powering the Tata Altroz CNG is the same 1.2L three-cylinder engine that generates a peak power of 77 hp and a max torque of 97 Nm in CNG mode. The engine will be mated with a five-speed manual transmission. Similar to the Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG, the Tata Altroz CNG is expected to offer a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.49 km/kg.

Tata Altroz CNG: Expected price

The Tata Altroz CNG is likely to cost a premium of Rs 90,000 over the petrol variant which is priced between Rs 6.45 lakh to Rs 9.10 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, pan-India).
