Tamannaah Bhatia’s trainer reveals the fitness trends you must stop following in 2026
Tamannaah Bhatia's trainer, Siddhartha Singh, advises ditching fad diets for sustainable habits. He warns against extreme low-carb diets and ineffective detox teas, emphasizing a moderate calorie deficit with adequate protein. Singh also highlight...

Siddhartha has highlighted three major trends he believes do more harm than good and encourages people to return to the fundamentals of healthy living.
1. Low-Carb Diet vs Calorie Deficit
Crash low-carb diets may promise rapid weight loss, but Siddhartha cautions against eliminating carbohydrates, especially for those who work out regularly.
"You will probably lose weight very fast, but your hormones will crash, and cravings will kill you, literally. Instead, do a calorie deficit. Enjoy your carbs and eat a lot of protein.”
2. Detox Teas
Siddhartha also criticises the supplement industry, particularly detox teas and cleansing products, calling them ineffective and misleading.
"No tea or supplement can detox you," he says, stressing that the body already has natural detox mechanisms in place.
Instead of relying on so-called miracle drinks, he advises focusing on basics such as fibre-rich foods, sufficient protein intake, daily movement, and quality sleep. Supporting the body’s natural systems, he believes, is far more effective than chasing quick results.
3. Not Getting Enough Sleep
Another major mistake, according to Siddhartha, is neglecting sleep due to busy lifestyles. Poor sleep doesn’t just cause fatigue — it can directly hinder fat loss and recovery.
For anyone serious about improving body composition, Siddhartha insists that getting 7–8 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night is non-negotiable.
