Taapsee Pannu joins Hemkunt Foundation as a new advisory board member; to spread awareness on menstrual hygiene
Taapsee Pannu became the first female advisory board member of Hemkunt Foundation, and she will spread awareness about menstrual hygiene and affordable healthcare.

The Hemkunt foundation has been working toward constructing a better healthcare ecosystem, especially in rural areas to make it accessible and affordable for women. The award-winning actress will generate awareness about affordable and accessible healthcare.
During the time of the pandemic, the foundation played a significant role in the lives of marginalised communities. At the height of pandemic, when it was difficult to secure medical and healthcare facilities, the foundation reportedly impacted the lives of 4.2 million people.
In the past, Taapsee had worked toward providing education to underprivileged girls, spreading awareness about menstrual health, and breaking taboos around periods by collaborating with different organisations and brands.
With Hemkunt Foundation, Taapsee will spread awareness about the foundation’s ‘Dhabba Nahi’ campaign and flagship project HF Mobile 100 ( Hospital on Wheels). Taapsee said that she is "amazed to see the impact" of the foundation over the years and its relentless efforts that "saved millions of lives" during the pandemic. She further said that with initiatives such as ‘Dhabba Nahi’, Mobile 100 from the Foundation ensuring healthcare access to individuals, she’s glad to "take the cause forward".
Taapsee further added that she hopes to "generate tangible impact" in society by working with the foundation.
21 Mobile Medical Units have been already launched across India by the Hemkunt Foundation.
