Swiggy orders now being delivered by dragons as House of the Dragon drops first episode

Now that the 'House of the Dragon' TV series has finally made its debut on OTT platforms, Swiggy decided to jump on the trend as well, and now it will deliver your orders on a dragon. We aren't kidding, the Swiggy app has started showing the delivery persons riding dragons on the app.



The company has joined hands with Disney+ Hotstar to implement the ‘House of the Dragon’ theme on their app. But do you need to do anything for the feature to work, No. Once you place your food order on the Swiggy app, it will show you the new animation for the delivery partner. As soon as the partner is assigned for your order you can see that he is riding a dragon to deliver your food.


The company also went a step further and added the animation for the House of Targaryen to your order location. This is how Swiggy is greeting the users, "Fire will reign, hunger will not. Our Dragon rider is on the way!".

Sidharth Shakdher, EVP, Hotstar shared a LinkedIn post stating, “Somewhere, someone: So, what’s so special about a delivery app? Does it have Dragons and stuff? Umm….. Well, actually….. If you haven’t ordered yet, just watch the dragon fly to you when you say…… Dracarys!”
