In a viral social media video, the delivery person was video graphed while moving on horseback for the delivery of the food packets, as the city roads have been flooded due to continuous rainfall in the city. The innovative delivery method came to the fore after it was shared on many social media channels including Twitter, Facebook and several others.
Within a couple of hours, the humble video stormed the internet with users coming up with their creative comments. Most of the internet users appreciated the dedication of the delivery person. While, one humorously wrote, “Now this is what I call ‘Shahi delivery'”, another user said that he hopes the delivery boy is not carrying a pizza to deliver. Several others filled the comment section with laughing emoticons.
In the meantime, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has released an orange alert warning of heavy to extremely heavy outpour in Mumbai. It is to be noted that the city is receiving heavy rainfall since past week. As a result of the incessant rainfall, two buildings were reported to have collapsed in Kalbadevi and Sion areas. No casualties were reported as the residents were timely vacated from the affected constructions.
The heavy rains and water logging on the roads of four to five location forced Brihammumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) to divert the routes of more than 12 buses. Similarly, amid heavy pouring in the city, some railway commuters have also claimed for the delay of about 5-15 minutes in train arrivals.
