Swara Bhasker tweets wedding meme disclosing about her lavish wedding plans

For the day-long ceremony, Bhasker chose to wear her mother's 40-year-old maroon saree with an embellished border. She paired it with a pearl white blouse with intricate embroidery on the sleeves. The actress kept it simple with a gold-pearl choker, gold earrings, a pair of gold bangles and a chunky Polki 'maang tikka' by restrung heirlooms by Suparna Malik Jewellery. She also shared a picture of her bridal mehendi.

The couple got their marriage registered under the Special Marriage Act. "Three cheers for the Special Marriage Act (despite notice period, etc.)," Bhasker wrote on Twitter.

According to Bhasker's tweet, there may be a traditional wedding in the coming days. "Now to prep for shehnaii-wala shaadi," the actress wrote in her tweet.

Swara-Fahad exchanged garlands after registering their marriage in court. The couple were joined, 'supported' and 'cheered' by family and friends like family.

Swara's parents C Uday and Ira Bhaskar - who live in Delhi - also blessed the newlyweds. The Samajwadi Party leader's parents travelled from Baheri, a city in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district to attend the wedding.

Fahad said that the process was anxious, but the result was happy. After getting their marriage registered, the couple danced their way out of the court.

Film-maker Aanand L Rai and his production company Colour Yellow Productions congratulated the happy couple with two bouquets and gift boxes. Bhasker took to Instagram to thank the director. The actress has been a part of a number of films, produced by Colour Yellow Productions, like 'Raanjhanaa', 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' and 'Nil Battey Sannata'.
