Suniel Shetty opens up about his ‘fear’ over ‘Hera Pheri 3’; Here’s what he said.

Hera Pheri 3 has generated a lot of interest since its announcement. After months of speculation about whether Akshay Kumar would appear in the film, it was recently confirmed that he will. Fans are eager to see the film’s original trio — Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty — recreate their memorable chemistry from Priyadarshan's 2000 comedy classic Hera Pheri. This time around, Sanjay Dutt has joined the cast.

In a new interview, Suniel was asked if the story of Hera Pheri will change since the first movie came out 17 years ago.

He said because the characters are the same and it is their journey, they do not need to make such a dramatic leap. All he knows is that it is a great script, that it is an emotional journey of these three guys Paresh's Baburao, Suniel's Shyam, and Akshay’s Raju and their struggles, and that Sanjay Dutt will be there to help.


While Suniel is excited about Hera Pheri 3, he also expressed his concerns about the franchise's third instalment. He said the only fear is that can they even get remotely close to the original. He further said if they keep that honesty, people will latch on to that film because it has a high recall value.

The first one was directed by Priyadarshan, and the second one was written and directed by the late Neeraj Vora. There have been rumours that Raaj Shaandilya, who made the movie Dream Girl, will make Hera Pheri 3.
