Suneil Shetty opens up about his daughter Athiya’s wedding with KL Rahul, recalls first meeting with son-in-law

Athiya Shetty's father and a well-known Bollywood actor Suneil Shetty recently opened up about his daughter's wedding with cricketer KL Rahul. The couple tied the knot on January 23, 2023, at Suniel Shetty’s bungalow in Khandala. Suniel, who recently appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show revealed how his first meeting went with KL Rahul.

The actor revealed that when he met KL Rahul for the first time he did not have an idea that his daughter was dating him. Suneil met KL Rahul for the first time at an airport. The actor said, "When KL Rahul told me that he belonged to my hometown, it was a surprise and a moment of happiness for me. I was a huge admirer of his, so I was pleased to hear that he was doing well. Athiya and Mana didn't say anything and simply looked at each other when I told them the news when I got home. Later, Mana informed me that Athiya and Rahul were on talking terms with each other. He further added that he was surprised that his daughter never talked about her friendship with the cricketer.




Meanwhile, talking about Athiya and KL Rahul's wedding, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on January 23, 2023, in Khandala. It is believed that the couple will host the reception in the month of June after the IPLS season comes to an end.
