Actor Jacqueline Fernandez on Wednesday told Delhi court that the con man Sukesh Chandrashekhar made her life hell.

At the 200 crore extortion case being tried in the Patiala House courts, she alleged that her senses informed her that she was being taken for a ride when his assistant Pinky Irani introduced him to her as "a government person".

Jacqueline claims that Chandrashekar identified himself as the proprietor of Sun TV and said J. Jayalalithaa, the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, was his aunt.

Jacqueline further stated that Chandrashekhar stated himself as a great admirer, and said that she should do films in south India also, and as the owner of Sun TV, they had several projects set up. Chandrashekhar also tried to collaborate on some south Indian films.

Jacqueline stated that she only found out afterward that he had been detained for impersonating top officials from the Home and Law Ministries. She said that she just learned his true name after learning about his criminal history.

Irani, according to the actress, deceived her by not disclosing his past to her.

Patiala High court on January 16 gave notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on an application filed by the actor seeking permission to fly to Dubai after January 27 for professional business.

She had submitted an urgent hearing request. As a result, the court scheduled the next hearing for January 25.

Jacqueline filed a petition in December of last year to travel abroad to meet her ailing mother in Bahrain. Nonetheless, she withdrew it when the court refused to allow her to fly overseas.

Chandrashekhar is accused of extorting money from politicians, celebrities, and business owners.
