Strange 'dragon skull' found on a beach in Britain. See images

A mysterious skull that appears like to be of a "dragon" has been found on a UK beach. Photos of the unknown creature's skull were shared by a user on social news site Reddit. The user wrote that he discovered the mysterious skull on Bridlington Beach in Yorkshire, UK.

"Found some kind of animal skull in the sand while on Bridlington beach! Anyone know what this critter was?" he wrote in the Reddit post.

In the shared images, the skull looks like to be straight out of Game of Thrones, an American fantasy drama television series. The strange-looking skull has two pointed eyes at the top and an elongated snout at the bottom. It also had ridges where the mythical creature's eyes would be.

The mystery images have created a lot of buzz on social media with some supporting that the skull belonged to a dragon, while others suggesting that it may be of a mythical "wyvern", a winged serpent-like animal with two legs.

"Dragon, those holes across the top are to vent the hot gases so it's head doesn't explode," one user said.

Another user claimed that "It's a gull pelvis." The users also shared a blog post from wildlife biologist Ellen Snyder's Spicebush Log, after she'd made a similar discovery.

The blog post, written in 2013, reads, "I brought home a fragment of an animal skeleton from Seapoint Beach (Ireland). At first it looked like a baby dragon, but that's just too much George R.R. Martin on the brain."
