Kunal Kamra slams Ranveer Allahbadia in X.
A public digital feud has erupted between comedian Kunal Kamra and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, with Kamra alleging that the Indian comedy community is still facing severe professional repercussions due to Allahbadia’s controversial remarks on a reality show. The exchange, which unfolded on X saw Kamra claim that more than 30 artists were summoned by legal authorities following a February 2025 episode of 'India’s Got Latent' that featured Allahbadia. As Allahbadia attempted to frame the subsequent backlash as a period of personal "rebuilding" and growth, Kamra countered by listing a series of institutional setbacks—including show cancellations and venue withdrawals—that he insists have disproportionately harmed working comedians while the YouTuber continues to "clout chase."

Ranveer Allahbadia’s Latest Post

The conflict was reignited when Ranveer Allahbadia shared a post on X reflecting on the damage to his brand, BeerBiceps. Allahbadia wrote, "It took me and my team 10 years to build BeerBiceps and The Ranveer Show to where they were. And in one incident, a large part of it was shaken". He referenced a couplet by Sant Kabir regarding patience and growth, stating that rebuilding takes time. This post followed a year of legal and social media scrutiny triggered by his "lapse in judgment" during a guest appearance where he posed an obscene question to a contestant.

Kunal Kamra responded directly to Allahbadia’s post, rejecting the "nice guy" persona the YouTuber presented. Kamra wrote, "30+ artists including me were summoned by authorities for being on Latent. The whole comedy fraternity took a hit because of how stupid you’re". He further alleged that the "pathetic shadow" of Allahbadia’s actions continues to make the professional lives of comedians difficult, citing that shows were cancelled and judgments were made against the entire fraternity without Allahbadia acknowledging the collateral damage.

"Fraudcasting and Clout Chasing": Kamra’s Labels for BeerBiceps

In a sharply worded critique, Kamra urged Allahbadia to "lower your gaze & be very ashamed," calling him a "contraceptive for creativity". He accused Allahbadia of being a "hurdle for upward social change" and criticized his content as "fraudcasting". Kamra concluded his post by telling the podcaster to "stop milking this" and to take responsibility for the professional instability his viral remarks caused for others in the creative field.

The controversy dates back to a February 2025 episode featuring Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija. During the recording, Allahbadia asked a contestant a vulgar question regarding sexual intimacy and parents, which sparked immediate outrage once the clip went viral. The incident led to multiple FIRs across several states and prompted discussions in Parliament regarding the regulation of online content. While Allahbadia issued a public apology at the time, stating that "comedy is not my forte," the episodes were ultimately scrubbed from the internet following the intervention of lawmakers.
