Sultry beauty Nia Sharma is out of work for some time now. When asked about it, she says she has to keep working for the money and cannot afford not to work.

She gets conscious if someone calls her “hot” or pretty, and she honestly confesses that she doesn’t know how to react when she hears these things about her.

The actor has been out of television work for some time and hopes to land a project of her choice soon. She rose to fame in “Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behena Hai” where she donned the role of Manvi Chaudhry, and in Jamai Raja (Zee TV) where she played the role of Roshni Patel. After that, she was featured as Brinda in Naagin 4. But after this, teleserials just stopped coming her way.

She has also featured in music videos like “Hairaan” by Javed Ali, “Garbe Ki Raat” by Rahul Vaidya, and “Do Ghoont” by Shruti Rane.

She says she was offered quite a few roles over the phone, but the moment they heard the cost involved the calls never came again. She feels as if someone has applied the brakes on her career, out of the blue.
In 2021, she did take part in Big Boss and also featured in Jamai 2.0, a web series by Zee5 the same year. She believes that pitfalls do occur in the lives of all. She at times feels really bad about not getting offers, but then she overcomes it.

She feels that she needs work but she would like to choose it rather than take up anything that comes her way.

She hopes to overcome the lows by being positive. She believes that someday, although it might take a long time, she will land a project of her choice. She trails off saying that auditions rarely come her way, but that surely something big is awaited, and the day it comes her way she will take up that project.
