The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will close the online registration process for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 today, June 22, 2026. Eligible candidates have a final chance to apply for 12,256 vacancies under Group B and Group C posts in various central government ministries and departments.

Applicants can submit their forms through the official SSC website (ssc.gov.in) until 11 PM. Those who have not yet completed the process should do so immediately, as no extension of the deadline has been announced. The commission has clearly stated that applications submitted after the closing time will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Application Fee and Correction Window

Although the registration window will close today, candidates will still be able to pay the application fee until June 23, 2026.


In case of any mistakes in the submitted application, SSC will provide a correction facility. The correction window will be open from June 29 to July 1, 2026. Candidates making changes during this period will need to pay the prescribed correction charges as determined by the commission.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL 2026

For most posts (excluding JSO and Statistical Investigator Grade-II): Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level.

For Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics as a compulsory or elective subject.

Application Process and Important Instructions

While filling out the application form, candidates must carefully provide their personal details, educational qualifications, category information, and other required data.

Applicants are also required to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and any additional documents in the prescribed format.

After completing the application fee payment, candidates are strongly advised to review all the entered details thoroughly before final submission to avoid any discrepancies during the recruitment process.
