SS Rajamouli is well-known for his exceptional contributions to Indian cinema, including the films Chatrapathi, Baahubali, RRR, and others. He has expressed his eagerness to pursue his dream project, Mahabharat, which he hopes to adapt for the big screen.

Rajamouli recently stated that he would need approximately a year to thoroughly study every existing version of Mahabharat in the country. Moreover, he revealed that the film would likely be a 10-part series during a recent event where he was asked about his ambitious project.

According to the director, each film he creates is a step towards his dream project, Mahabharat, and he believes that he learns something valuable from every film he makes that he can apply to that project. "Every film I make, I feel that I’m learning something to ultimately make Mahabharat. So that’s my dream and every step is towards that," he said.

During the promotional campaign for RRR, Rajamouli was asked about the possibility of Ram Charan being cast in the upcoming epic saga. The director replied that he would only determine which actors would play which roles after he had finished writing his own version of Mahabharata, despite the fact that people had already created lists of potential actors for the project.
