SS Rajamouli pens emotional note for MM Keeravani as he bags Padma Shri for 'Naatu Naatu'

RRR director SS Rajamouli extended his warm wish for MM Keeravani, who bagged the Padma Shri for the famous song 'Naatu Naatu' which features in Rajamouli’s film.
Padma Shri is India's fourth highest civilian honour. Apart from this, the film was also recently nominated at the 95th Academy Awards.

Taking to Twitter, the director expressed his joy for the recognition that he said was overdue. MM Keeravani will be receiving the award later this year.


Rajamouli wrote, "Like many of your fans, I believe that this acknowledgement was long overdue. However, as you say, the universe rewards one's efforts in an odd way. If I could converse with the universe, I would say, Konchem gap ivvamma. okati poorthigaa enjoy chesaaka inkoti ivvu."



MM Keeravani later also took to Twitter and expressed his gratitude towards the RRR director. Sharing the Tweet, he wrote that he is honoured to receive the civilian award from the Govt of India. This is a huge thing which has happened to him, and the award has also brought respect to his parents and all mentors from Kavitapu Seethanna garu to Kuppala Bulliswamy Naidu garu.

Recently, the musician won his first Golden Globe in the category of Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu. The famous song has been composed by Keeravani, and Chandra Bose penned the lyrics of the song. Further, the choreography of Naatu Naatu is done by Prem and sung by Rahul Sipligunj.
