Spicejet suspends 2 pilots for having “Gujiya” in the flight cockpit during Holi celebrations
Two pilots of SpiceJet were suspended because they were eating gujiya and drinking beverages in the cockpit during a flight from Delhi to Guwahati.

According to reports, both pilots were removed from their work schedule and an investigation is yet to be conducted. The spokesperson of SpiceJet commented that the airline follows a strict policy regarding eating in the cockpit, which is followed by all the flight crew. He also mentioned that the investigation will lead to taking the necessary disciplinary action.
It was reported that Spicejet, lately, has been frequently under the DGCA scanner for substandard services and poor maintenance of their aircrafts. The airline is facing a lot of negative publicity due to its poor management. Both its employees and customers are not happy. According to reports, Spicejet is now the worst performing airline in Asia.
Even a few months ago, customers of the airline complained about the poor behaviour of the airline staff. A video had gone viral where a Spicejet passenger complained that they had been left stranded in an aerobridge for hours and ignored by the airline staff.
