Spectators looted Rs 1.5 lakh from an injured victim

This week, a man met with an accident who had the possibility of surviving but instead bystanders stole his money and ran away.

People are outraged by a video that has been making the rounds on social media, which purports to show a mob stealing Rs 1.5 lakh in cash from Dharmendra Kumar Gupta, a businessman from Agra who is seriously hurt.

After seeing this video, police will file an FIR for the entire matter.


The event happened on Tuesday on the Agra-Delhi national highway. Three people were killed in the collision, including Dharmendra, a milk merchant who was riding his motorcycle home from Mathura. The truck was traveling at a fast pace. He was carrying a backpack that held roughly Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, as per his family.

Some spectators who were around Dharmendra at the accident scene are heard debating whether to give the money to the police and keep it for themselves or to assist him in the footage that went viral on Sunday.

Mahendra, his brother, stated, "We went looking for Dharmendra when he did not come home and found his damaged bike." There was no money in the open bag he had lying nearby. And his wallet was gone.

He further continued by saying that after Dharmendra was carried to the hospital and pronounced dead, the family contacted the police to report the incident.
