Sparks fly as car drags bike for 1 km in Ghaziabad: Viral video

A car hit two motorcyclists and dragged their motorbike along the road for more than a kilometre despite calls to stop, reports said.

A video of the incident which happened in the Indirapuram area on Thursday evening showed a lot of sparks fly as the car dragged the motorbike along the road.

The two people on the bike who were residents of Kausambi were hit from behind by the car at the Mangal Bazaar Chowk in Indirapuram.


As the car sped away with the bike stuck in its bumper some people tried to stop the driver, eyewitnesses said. He refused to come out of the car even after some people caught up with him and removed the car keys.

The video was shared on social media and was also aired on many television channels. Ghaziabad police were quoted by ANI as saying that the driver was arrested, and his car seized after the incident. The people on the bike were safe.
