Soul-stirring: Chimpanzee shares apple with tortoise; watch video

Though they are mostly driven by instinct, animals sometimes teach us valuable lessons on love and kindness. They also have emotions and like humans, many animals enjoy the company of other animals and fiercely protect their friends from harm.

A heartwarming video has gone viral on social media, which shows an unusual but endearing interaction between two species, in which a chimpanzee is sharing an apple with an eager tortoise. Both are looking calm in each other's company and this strange bonding has evoked tremendous response on the Internet.

The Video which was shared on twitter by @buitengebieden has already garnered 8.9 million views and more than 52,000 re-tweets. The video has been rightly captioned: "Sharing is caring."


In the video, you can see that a chimpanzee is eating an apple and after taking a bite, he offers it to the turtle, who is curiously looking towards him. There is another chimp in the video who is also comfortably sitting beside the tortoise.
