Sony has confirmed that it is developing an R-rated animated adaptation of the hit video game Bloodborne, marking one of PlayStation’s most ambitious screen projects to date.

The announcement was made during Sony’s CinemaCon presentation, where Sanford Panitch, president of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group, said the film will remain “very true” to the game’s dark and violent essence, according to Variety.

The project is part of Sony’s expanding slate of video game adaptations. The studio is already working on a film based on The Legend of Zelda, directed by Wes Ball, with Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason set to play Link and Princess Zelda. The film is being produced by franchise creator Shigeru Miyamoto.

Additionally, Sony has announced an adaptation of Helldivers, which will be directed by Justin Lin.
