Sony has introduced a new Walkman "NW-ZX707" portable music player in India. The iconic Walkman in 2023 runs Android 12 software and has a battery life of up to 25 hours on a single charge. The features also include the S-Master HX digital amp, which supports native DSD or Direct Stream Digital and is housed in a premium milled aluminium frame.

The new NW-ZX707 Walkman was designed specifically for audiophiles and hi-fi music enthusiasts. The new Walkman features high-end components that promise to deliver high-quality sound the way artists intended, all while being housed in a stylish design. The DSD Remastering Engine in the Walkman NW-ZX707 resamples PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) audio into 11.2MHz DSD (Direct Stream Digital) audio. The Walman's S-MasterX digital amp, which is compatible with the native DSD format, reduces distortion and noise while delivering rich and full sound.

The NW-ZX707 has a 5-inch display and comes pre-installed with Android 12 and Wi-Fi connectivity. You can install any music streaming apps you want to download or stream music from.

The Walkman has a dual clock, film capacitor and fine sound register placed precisely within the unit to deliver hi-fi sound. The NW-ZX707 Walkman borrows the fine-tuned capacitor from the latest Signature series Walkman, packing in FTCAP3 high polymer capacitor and large solid high polymer capacitor for large capacitance and low resistance. The Walkman also has a large 8mm coil for balanced output, which results in better sound resolution.

The Walkman can produce CD-quality audio, that is, 16-bit 44.1/48kHz with lossless codec audio.
