Mika Singh expressed his disappointment on Sonu Nigam’s selfie incident and said it was shocking that the scuffle happened in a safe city like Mumbai.

Mika shared a picture with the singer and wrote that it is very disturbing that a very respected singer like Sonu Nigam was attacked and that too in a city like Mumbai. Mika further revealed that whenever he does shows in North-India, he always has at least 10 bodyguards, but in a safe and beautiful city like Mumbai, he never keeps a bodyguard.
Singer Sonu Nigam was reportedly attacked by Shiv Sena member in a music concert at Chembur in Mumbai on February 20. The attacker was attempting to take a selfie with the singer when he pushed Sonu’s bodyguard and friend Rabbani from stairs after they came in between to save the singer.

According to a report, the attacker identified as Shiv Sena MLA’s son Swapnil Phaterpeka was booked by police based on Sonu Nigam’s complaint. He said that people should think twice before forcefully taking selfies and creating a mishap.
The attacker’s sister said on Twitter that the singer was unharmed and expressed regret for the unpleasant experience. She further said that her brother was attempting a selfie, but there was a rush and a commotion. The individual who tumbled down the staircase was taken to the hospital.
The video of this mishap went viral on social media. The Indian Singers Rights Association (ISRA) urged the state governments to make security arrangements for singers. The association further said that such incidents should be avoided at any cost irrespective of who it was.
