In an interview with a news agency, she was quoted saying, "She cannot have a heart attack. We demand a proper investigation by CBI. My family is not ready to accept that she died of a heart attack. She had no such medical problem".
Another sister of Rupesh also told the news agency that she had received a call from Sonali the evening before her death. Sonali apparently told her that she had wanted to talk over WhatsApp and suspected that something fishy was going on. But she then disconnected the call and did not pick up after that.

Sonali's family member have already raised suspicion of foul play and said that Sonali was not feeling well after eating her meal on Monday.
The National Commission for Women has also taken cognizance of Solani's death and has set up a two member fact finding team to look into the matter. Rekha Sharma has written to the Goa DGP to inform them of the commission's decision and the action being taken along with the postmortem report.

— Udai Bhan (@INCUdaiBhan) 1661243437000According to the Goa DGP Jaspal Singh, Sonali Phogat was taken to the St Anthony's Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa from the Curlies restaurant where felt uneasy after having a meal. The DGP also said that there was no suspected foul play as there were no external injury marks on her body.
