Sonakshi Sinha, Zoya Akhtar, Vijay Varma attend Berlin International Film Festival ahead of world premiere of 'Dahaad'

'Dahaad', starring Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Varma, will have its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival as part of the Berlinale Series Programme. On Wednesday, actors Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Varma, filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, and the Dahaad team walked the film festival’s red carpet on February 22.

'Dahaad', an eight-part crime drama series which is directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi and produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films. The crime drama will have its world premiere at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival.

The crime drama competed against seven other shows from around the world and received a positive response from the audience at the global premiere.

About 'Dahaad'

'Dahaad' is a slow-burn crime drama set in a small town in Rajasthan that follows Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati and her colleagues as they investigate a case in which a series of mysteriously found dead body of a woman in a public restroom. The film depicts a thrilling cat-and-mouse game between a seasoned criminal and an underdog cop as she pieces together evidence before another innocent woman is killed.

Prior to Dahaad, Reema Kagti had a string of critically acclaimed films under her belt, including Talaash, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Gully Boy. She was also the director of the web series Made In Heaven.
