A post by Snabbit senior director Sai Kiran Singanamala has drawn attention to how a woman’s earnings can affect an entire household, after he shared the story of an employee who said joining the company had helped her family earn around Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh a month. According to Singanamala, the woman, who has been with the company for four months, said she and her husband, an auto driver, could now afford to send their child to a school charging Rs 1.5 lakh in annual fees.

Singanamala, who is based in Hyderabad, shared the account on LinkedIn while reflecting on the potential impact of employment opportunities in the gig economy. His post highlighted how a woman earning between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 a month could contribute to her family’s financial security and access to better education.

What did the Snabbit executive say?

“A few days ago, I spoke to one of our experts who has been with us for just 4 months,” Singanamala wrote in his LinkedIn post.

He said the employee told him that she could now afford to enrol her child in a school with annual fees of Rs 1.5 lakh. Her husband works as an auto driver, and their combined monthly earnings have reached approximately Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh, he added.

“It made me realise how much a woman earning Rs 30–40K can change a family’s life. Better education. More financial security. More confidence,” Singanamala wrote.
