In a separate incident in Haryana, the body of a woman was found stuffed inside a blue suitcase in a drain in Kaithal district on Tuesday. Farmers from Sheela Khera village noticed dogs dragging the suitcase between 3 and 4 pm, according to inspector Geeta Singh, SHO of the women’s police station. After checking the suitcase, villagers alerted the police.

Two dresses were also found inside the suitcase.Sources said the body appeared to be several days old and was swollen due to being submerged in water. Investigators are using a tattoo on the woman’s hand as a key clue to establish her identity.
The body has been kept at the civil hospital mortuary. Police have shared details with neighbouring police stations, and a forensic team has collected evidence from the scene.
The incident has brought back memories of a similar case reported on March 1, when the body of 22-year-old Congress worker Himani Narwal was found inside a suitcase near the Sampla bus stand flyover in Rohtak. That case had triggered widespread outrage across the state.
