Sivakarthikeyan's much-talked about science-fiction film Ayalaan has finally got a release date after a lot of delay and speculation. 'Ayalaan' is directed by Ravikumar R and has Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet in the lead.

On April 24, the makers announced the release date of Ayalaan with a new poster, showing Sivakarthikeyan with an alien. Take a look.

When will Ayalaan Release in Theatres?

Ayalaan will be released in theatres on November 12, 2023, during the Hindu festival of Diwali. The film had been postponed for a while, since post-production wasn’t over due to finishing touches in computer graphics imaging (CGI) and visual effects (VFX).

New Poster of Ayalaan Released

Sivakarthikeyan and the film’s director shared a new poster of Ayalaan on Twitter. Siva said on the social media platform, "Let’s fly high this diwali! #AyalaanFromDiwali2023 #Ayalaan."

About Ayalaan

Ayalaan is a sci-fi film starring Sivakarthikeyan, Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar and Isha Koppikar, among others. Written and directed by Ravikumar R, the film’s music has been composed by AR Rahman, with cinematography by Nirav Shah. Ruben has been roped in as editor for the film.

Ayalaan has been produced by Kotapadi Rajesh, who revealed that the team has poured its heart and soul into the film even while they hit "many many roadblocks". The team is ecstatic that the movie is finally releasing.

Why was Ayalaan Delayed for a Year?

Rajesh said that they did not want to compromise on the quality of the CGI in the film, and therefore the delay. Ayalaan has the "highest number of CGI shots for a Pan-Indian movie," he said, adding, "And hence we needed time to achieve perfection." The producer revealed that Ayalaan is the first full-length live-action film in Indian cinema to have over 4,500+ VFX shots.
