Silambarasan starrer Pathu Thala will release on the streaming platform Amazon Prime Video from Thursday, April 27, 2023. Although Pathu Thala will premiere on Prime Video in India and across 240 countries, it will release in Tamil only as of now, possibly with subtitles as per each region.

Directed by Obeli N Krishna, Pathu Thala is a gangster saga. It is an official adaptation of Kannada film Mufti. The director went on to say that even though it is an adaptation, the Tamil version of Pathu Thala is quite different from the original.
