The comedy-drama Thank God, which stars Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles has encountered much controversy since the release of its trailer.

In an interview, Sidharth Malhotra said that the team has been compassionate and is convinced that people would appreciate it once they watch it.

Along with Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, his co-stars in SOTY, the Kapoor & Sons actor recently celebrated ten years in the industry.

Sidharth wondered whether viewers of the movie would have staged a protest after watching the movie.

He added that the protests would have made more sense at that point.

Similar ideas were previously expressed by Rakul in an interview when she remarked that people should see the movie first. They should speak up if there is anything they find offensive.

The second trailer of Thank God! was also released.
