A picture of the fee structure was shared on X by Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi. The breakdown includes Rs 55,638 as an admission fee, refundable caution money of Rs 30,019, annual charges of Rs 28,314, a one-time development fee of Rs 13,948, a tuition fee of Rs 23,737, and the Rs 8,400 parent orientation fee for nursery and junior KG admissions for the academic year 2024-25.
Commenting on the post, Chaturvedi remarked, "₹8,400 parent orientation fee!!! No parent will ever agree to pay even 20% of this for a doctor's consultation. I am planning to open a school now."
Reactions to the tweet varied, with one user blaming the government, calling it "organized loot." They stated, "The government has given private schools a free hand to engage in this official loot. Many politicians are linked to some schools. Organized loot (extortion) is happening openly."
Another user argued for a reform in the education system, asking, "Can some startup come up with an affordable price structure with a good quality education syllabus?"
In contrast, one X user justified the pricing, stating, "That is the price you pay for premium service. Where there is demand, there will be such pricing."
In another news, in Gujarat's Surat, 60 students were allegedly made to stand outside the class for several hours over the payment of Rs 1,000 as fees for the annual function.
